What an Imprint is, and why § 5 DDG applies
A German Impressum is the legally required provider disclosure on a website. Anyone who offers a digital service in Germany on a commercial or ongoing basis – as opposed to a purely private page – must keep certain details easily recognisable, directly accessible and permanently available. Since the 2024 “Digital Services” reform the governing basis is the Digitale-Dienste-Gesetz (DDG): the general information duties now live in § 5 DDG, which replaced § 5 of the old Telemediengesetz (TMG). Older imprints and many guides still cite “§ 5 TMG”; that reference is stale. In parallel, § 18 (1) of the Medienstaatsvertrag (MStV) requires essentially the same details, and its paragraph 2 adds a named responsible person for journalistic-editorial content, expressly cross-referencing §§ 5 and 6 DDG.

The service provider within the meaning of § 5 DDG is the company responsible for this service. No official authorisation under no. 3, no professional supervision under no. 5 and no winding-up under no. 7 apply to this service, so those details fall away rather than appearing here as empty fields.

Information under § 18 Medienstaatsvertrag
§ 18(1) MStV requires the provider’s name and address and, for a legal person, also the name and address of its authorised representative. All three are set out above.
§ 18(2) MStV requires providers of journalistic-editorial services to name, in addition, a person responsible for the content. That person may only be someone who is permanently resident in Germany. The publisher named above is a Bulgarian company whose manager is not resident in Germany, so no responsible person is named here: naming an ineligible one would not meet the requirement, it would only appear to.
